Who is Dr. Whitney?
Dr. Whitney Tolpinrud, MD, FAAD, brings a unique combination of clinical excellence, warmth, and vision to her role at Curology. She earned her medical degree from Yale University, completed her internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (a Harvard-affiliated institution), and trained in dermatology at Columbia University. Dr. Whitney is committed to making dermatologic care more accessible for communities nationwide.
What is Dr. Whitney’s role at Curology?
Since joining Curology in 2020, Dr. Whitney has played a key role in guiding clinical innovation and research across both Curology and Agency, our sister brand. She oversees medical care and helps ensure our products are rooted in science, safety, and proven dermatologic care. Her leadership has helped Curology serve over 5.5 million patients, making dermatologic care more accessible than ever before.

What does Dr. Whitney do outside of Curology?
Dr. Whitney maintains a clinical practice she founded in 2015 at the Chickasaw Nation, continuing her commitment to community-based dermatology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and holds medical licenses in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Her expertise as a board-certified dermatologist has been featured in Women's Health, Vogue, Glamour, Allure, Parade, Bustle, and more, where she helps debunk skincare myths and provide trustworthy advice in a sea of noise.
