The new Curology micellar makeup remover does the most—it’s a cleansing water with a silky light gel texture for all skin types that gently removes makeup, cleans skin, and lightly moisturizes. The best part? It was designed by dermatologists to work well for acne-prone and sensitive skin.
Our defiantly gentle micellar makeup remover is designed to care for your skin while you wipe away the day. Micelles lift away even the most stubborn waterproof makeup—so your Custom Formula can get to work. With unique no-spill packaging, freshening up has never been more convenient.
Curology’s micellar makeup remover is the first step in your anti-acne skincare routine. Our no-clog formula leaves your skin soft and hydrated. No harsh rubbing, stinging, or blurry eyes. Just that easy fresh face.
The micellar makeup remover is designed to work alongside your Curology Custom Formula, cleanser, and moisturizer, as part of your daily skincare routine.
Here’s how the micellar makeup remover works with your Curology routine:
Step 1: the micellar makeup remover. Simply dampen a cotton pad and gently wipe over eyes, skin, and lips. Hold on top of waterproof makeup for 3 seconds before wiping away. No need to rinse.
Step 2: the cleanser. After removing makeup, follow up with the cleanser by Curology for a full-face clean. (We’re big fans of the double cleansing method!)
Step 3: your Custom Formula. Your face is fresh and prepped for your Curology Custom Formula. Apply a thin layer all over your face and neck.
Step 4: the moisturizer. Finish off your skincare routine with our original moisturizer (with a lighter, cooling texture) or our rich moisturizer (for locking in deeper hydration).
You can also use our micellar makeup remover solo for a quick-and-easy cleanse when you’re on the go, at the gym, or just looking for a lighter clean. It won’t leave your skin feeling dry or stripped, so it’s perfect for when you just need to freshen up!
Micellar water is versatile and gentle, cleansing, removing makeup, and moisturizing all in one go. It does this with micelles. These are tiny oils suspended in soft water with hydrophilic (water-attracting) and hydrophobic (water-repelling) properties. Micellar water works like a magnet, lifting away makeup and buildup from the skin’s surface without stripping its natural moisture.
But do you really need a micellar makeup remover? It can be a good option if you’re acne-prone and wear makeup. And while a toner may sometimes work similarly to a micellar water, micellar waters are oil and water-based, meaning they’re not likely to dry out or irritate your skin the way some toners might.
Our opinion? If you regularly wear any kind of makeup (especially waterproof eye makeup), add a micellar makeup remover to your skincare shelf. Your skin will thank you later!
Trying the micellar makeup remover is easy—just add it to your custom skincare box and we’ll send it out in your next Curology shipment.
